Via The War Files – Today, a Russian warship along with a submarine stationed in the Mediterranean, fired four cruise missiles at the Islamic State in central Syria. The cruise missile strike, the first since November, targeted terrorists and their heavy weaponry near the city of Palmyra, the Russian DM said. All terrorists along with their equipment were reportedly re-deployed from Raqqa. The cruise missiles were launched by the frigate “Admiral Essen” and the submarine “Krasnodar”. “All targets were completely destroyed,” the Russian DM said in a statement.
