If we don’t tolerate authoritarian political regimes, why don’t we question our use of authoritarian economic regimes? By Anthony Bennett

If we don’t tolerate authoritarian political regimes, why don’t we question our use of authoritarian economic regimes? Are not our corporations run like an empire and our small businesses like a duchy? Is it really unthinkable that the millions of workers in a corporation should have some say over the direction of said corp?
I don’t advocate for this just because I want to see people free to exercise power over their personal lives, but because the working people of a company have a /different perspective/ that might just compliment the perspectives of managers and execs. Furthermore, now employees have a much more intertwined interest in the survival of the business.

We Americans believe in a government fueled by a free exchange of ideas among its citizenry do we not? Then why don’t we ask if our corporations should undergo the same processes? Why don’t we consider that economic monarchies aren’t the only way of doing things?
