Gunmen wearing suicide vests carried out an attack on the Iranian parliament, Baharestan

Via The War Files –  Gunmen wearing suicide vests carried out an attack on the Iranian parliament, Baharestan, and the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini in Tehran, resulting in the death of at least 12 people. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards blamed the twin assault on Saudi Arabia(ns). The Islamic State has claimed responsibility, their only evidence is a video purporting to show gunmen inside the parliament building. The attacks took place at a particularly tense time, after Saudi Arabia and other Sunni powers cut ties with Qatar this week, and accused them of “backing Tehran and other terrorist groups.” “This terrorist attack happened only a week after the meeting between the US president (Trump) and the backward Saudi leaders who support terrorists. The fact that the Islamic State has claimed responsibility proves that they were involved in the brutal attack,” a Guards statement said. Saudi FM del Al-Jubeir said he “didn’t know who was responsible, and there is no evidence extremists from Saudi Arabia were involved.”
