Iranian military kicked off their new Naval exercises on Sunday

Via The War Files – The Iranian military kicked off their new Naval exercises on Sunday, deploying its newest warships, missile systems and SoF units to the Caspian Sea for a massive five-day exercise called: Sustainable Security and Power. The commander of Iran’s First Naval Zone, Ahmadreza Baqeri, said the exercise “carries the message of peace and friendship while promoting Iran’s naval capabilities in the Caspian Sea.” Little details are known about the exercises, but Iran’s Deputy Chief of Naval operations (Amir Mahmoud Mousavi) said that the military will be “employing cutting-edge weaponry and equipment,” which includes shore-to-sea missile systems, and surveillance/intelligence systems. Diving units and commando teams are also expected to take part. Fighter jets and air defense systems will also be deployed to provide security for the drills. The Iranian DM also plans to test new weapons systems and equipment, including items “never seen on display before.”
