Highline College is currently on lockdown after the colleges Facebook page alerted students to take cover and any in the way to go somewhere else. The school is 15 miles south of Seattle in Des Moines, Washington and has about 17,000 students.
Heavily armed swat forces swarmed the Highline College on Friday morning after the reports of shots fired. Police in Renton, Washington, near the Highline campus, said they were among the agencies responding to the reports.About an hour after the initial report took place, the South King Fire and Rescue agency tweeted it knew of “no known” victims. Police say they are currently trying to determine whether shots were fired. This lockdown comes two days after a shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida, which left 17 people dead and others wounded.
